Abstrakt     Argon plasma coagulation (APC) is a new method of non-contact electrocoagulation in which current is applied to tissues by means of ionised argon gas (argon plasma). The development of special applicators has made this method applicable for gastrointestinal endoscopy. The primary indication for APC is the treatment of hemorrhage in the gastrointestinal tract. APC has been proven to be highly effective and easily used, with clear advantages over previously used methods. This article describes the introduction of APC in Slovenia and the first experiences with this method in the clinical department of internal medicine in Maribor.
