Abstrakt		The paper presents initiatives to increase road safety. These include primary, secondary and tertiary prevention in the area alcohol, prohibited and non-prohibited drugs. Special emphasis is put on setting criteria for describing states under the influence of alcohol, drugs and psychoactive substances, setting limit values, and establishing a system for improved detection of drivers under the influence of psychoactive substances and banning them from traffic.
