Abstrakt		Slovene pharmacists could not settle their matters of rank and social problems more autonomously before they got their state, in which they had some competences as members of the constitutive nation of the new state, the Monarchy of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes, i.e. after the first world war had ended in the year 1918. Already in the year 1919 they founded their professional association, that took example upon the Austrian ones, as the Austrian legislature from the times of Austro-Hungarian monarchy had remained valid in the new state for several years. The state of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes originated when these nations were united on Dec. 1, 1919 and in it the laws of the Austro-Hungarian monarchy and Serbia were valid, which differed a great deal from each other. Therefore in the new state it was not simple to harmonize these interests, that differed very much because of different habits and customs and also due to different economical situation. At first it looked like the relations between the drugstore owners and their professional cooperators would be settled in the way as they had been put forward in Austro-Hyngary, which was in force for the area of Slovenia, Croatia, Vojvodina, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and that they would continue on this model. Yet in the other part of the state, comprising the present Serbia, Macedonia, Montenegro and Kosovo, on the grounds mentioned before they could not be enforced in a simple way. Of course, the drugstore owners (druggists) did not follow the social demands of their cooperators without special need, therefore new organizations sprang up, uniting separately the owners and cooperators.
