| Abstrakt | The use of antisense technology has grown rapidly during the last ten years in laboratory and clinical studies. With the development of antisense technology the elucidation of unknown gene functions was possible, new biotech pharmaceutics were manufactured and a new way of treatment for malignant, hematological and various chronical disorders was funded. This article reviews the recent data concerning the mechanism of action and the efficiency of antisense technology.The problems regarding the application of antisense technology and interpretation of the results are discussed. | |
| Izvleček | Uporaba protismerne tehnologije se je uveljavila v zadnjih desetih letih v laboratorijih in kliničnih študijah. Razvoj protismerne tehnologije danes omogoča ugotavljanje lastnosti neznanih genov, razvoj botehnoloških farmacevtskih izdelkov ter zdravljenje onkoloških, hematoloških ter različnih kroničnih obolenj. Članek opisuje mehanizme delovanja ter dejavnike učinkovitosti protismeme tehnologije. Pojasnjuje tudi probleme pri uporabi protismerne tehnologije ter razlaga rezultate. | |
