Abstrakt     Most data about the influence of weather on morbidity and mortality are derived from the studies of:- different influences of weather on pain symptoms, - influences of periods of extreme heat on mortality, - influences of periods of extreme cold on mortality, - influences of polluted air (and temperature inversion) on respiratory system diseases. It is possible to predict the coming stress by monitoring and identifying the weather situations taht could be potentially harmful to peoples health. Therefore, it is possible to expect and to be prepared for such unfavourable weather situation and to diminish its negative consequences by taking preventive measures. Considering the change of climate, there are even more extreme weather situations to be expected in the years to come due to human interference with nature. Respiratory susytem diseases are still the major acute disease and thus cause the major number of visits in the primary health care unit. The incidence of visits is affected by different weather situations, above all cold stress and quick changes of aiir pressure. The population in the countryside is more sensible to weather changes as the city population. There is a higher number of visits in the primary health care unit during the days of temperature inversion or quick change of air pressure. According to the unusually higher number of patients in the countryside during cartain periods, it is possible to conclude that this was a period influenced by weather.
