Abstrakt		In the present paper etiology clinical course and diagnostic procedure for the laryngeal cancer are described. Early detection of the cancer is specially stressed and the reasons for the late recognition of the disease are listed. The author presents the surgical treatment modalities including conservative surgery and the use of CO2 laser.
