Abstrakt		Azo dyes are used to a great extent for coloring consumer goods, especially textiles, leather and paper. These dyes split or break down into carcinogen or potentially carcinogen aromatic amines in reduction conditions. These compounds are listed as MAK groups IIIA1 and IIIA2. The analysis method is based on the reduction of azo dyes with sodium dithionite in the alkaline medium. After a liquid-liquid extraction in the Extrelut column, aromatic amines are quantitatively determined by the liquid chromatography method with a DAD detector. The analysis method is useful for the determination of aromatic amines in all textile fibers and leather.
