Abstrakt		Carbapenem systems with inhibitory activity towards the p-lactamases known up to now, are bicyclic compounds. Synthesis of new, potentially biological active tricyclic derivatives of carbapenems was designed on the basis of theoretical computer methods and molecular modelling. The synthesis of the tricyclic system is described and the results of biological tests of the basic system and of some derivatives are presented.
