Abstrakt     Hypotension following spinal anesthesia, a well-known complication of this anesthetic technique, is caused by the blockade of the sympathetic nervous system. An infusion of crystalloid or colloid solutions before the block is one possibility for decreasing the incidence of hypotension following spinal anesthesia. The article is a review of literature about the effectiveness of the infusion of crystalloid or colloid solutions before spinal anesthesia in the prevention of hypotension after spinal anesthesia. An infusion of a crystalloid solution before spinal anesthesia causes a small, statistically insignificant decrease in the incidence of hypotension after spinal anesthesia, which is not clinically important. Most studies report a statistically significant decrease in the incidence of hypotension after spinal anesthesia with an infusion of a colloid solution before spinal anesthesia. However, it is impossible to completely prevent hypotension after spinal anesthesia even with an infusion of a colloid before administering blockade.
Izvleček     Znižanje krvnega tlaka po subarahnoidni anesteziji je pričakovan zaplet te anestezijske tehnike, ki nastane zaradi učinka blokade simpatičnega avtonomnega živčevja na obtočila. Eden izmed možnih ukrepov za preprečevanje hipotenzije po subarahnoidni anesteziji je infuzija raztopin elektrolitov ali raztopin koloidov z elekroliti pred izvedbo subarahnoidnega bloka. Prispevek podaja pregled literature o učinkovitosti infuzije raztopin elektrolitov ali raztopin koloidov z elekroliti pri preprečevanju hipotenzije po subarahnoidni anesteziji. Z infuzijo raztopine elektrolitov pred subarahnoidno anestezijo lahko dosežemo le majhno, statistično neznačilno zmanjšanje pojavnosti hipotenzije po subarahnoidni anesteziji, ki klinično ni pomembno. *e pa bolniku damo pred subarahnoidno anestezijo infuzijo raztopin koloidov z elekroliti, se pojavnost hipotenzije po subarahnoidni anesteziji statistično značilno zmanjša. Vendar tudi z infuzijo raztopin koloidov z elektroliti pred subarahnoidno anestezijo hipotenzije po subarahnoidni anesteziji ne moremo v celoti preprečiti.
