Abstrakt     Endometriosis is probably the most frequent cause of infertility or subfertility. The association between fertility and minimal or mild endometriosis remains unclear and controversial. The aim of our study was to evaluate the fertility rate after surgical treatment of minimal and mild endometriosis. Fifty-one patients with minimal or mild endometriosis were treated during laparoscopy due to infertility. Thirty-six (70.6 %) patient had minimal and 15 (29.4 %) had mild endometriosis. Thirty-one (60.8 %) out of 51 patients spontaneously conceived within 24 months after the surgery. According to our results, surgical treatment of minimal and mild endometriosis is by all means effective. It would be unethical not to remove even the smallest endometriotical implants when the disease is confirmed by laparoscopy.
