Abstrakt     Isokinetic measurement and functional tests are often used to assess knee muscle funtion following knee ligament reconstruction using opposite limb as a control. The aim of this study was to determine the relations hip between isokinetic knee extensor and flexor strength and four functional performance tests. Muscle strength was assessed by meauring peak torque at 60 deg/s, functional capacity was evaluated based on the results of four functional tests: single hop for distance, triple hop for distance, 6-m timed hop, and cross-over hop for distance. Twenty patients after anterior cruciate ligament reconstrution participated in dynamometric and functional measurements. Pearson correlation coeficients between quadriceps peak torque and four hop tests were: 0.75, 0.84, 0.67 and 0.76. Pearson correlation coefficients between flexor peak torque and four hop tests were: 0.09, -0.023, -0.027 and 0.14. A statistically significant correlation was found between is kinetic knee extensor peak torque and four functional tests, but no positive correlation was found for isokinetic test results for the knee flexors. In assessing the readiness of the ACL reconstructed patients to return to all activities, both, strength and functional testing metods should be used.
