| Abstrakt | Dried chamomile flowers are indispensable in every home, whilst chamomile essential oil and extracts are very frequently used in cosmetic industry. Various studies have confirmed a relatively broad spectre of pharmacological effects of camomile compounds. Chamomile extracts and essential oils are used in cosmetic products mainly for its soothing effects on irritated skin. Although chamomile and its extracts are considered safe and are used for taste improvement, several cases of allergic reactions to chamomile compounds atter dermal application have been recorded. | |
