Abstrakt		The article describes the system of categorisation of the patient and the family in four categories in nursing care in primary health care settings. The system is developed in connection with the international project quantity and quality in nursing care in the Health Centre Maribor and its name is the "The Maribor Primary Health Care Patient Classification System". The critical indicators are set in the frame of the nursing theories and follow the aim of the nursing association. The nomenclature of patient category is used in all settings where nurses perform nursing care.
Izvleček		Članek opisuje sistem razvrščanja pacientov in družin v štiri kategorije v zdravstveni negi v osnovni zdravstveni dejavnosti. Sistem je bil razvit v sklopu mednarodnega projekta "Količina in kakovost v zdravstveni negi" v Zdravstvenem domu dr. Adolfa Drolca Maribor in je poimenovan "Mariborski sistem razvrščanja pacientov v kategorije v osnovni zdravstveni dejavnosti". Kritični kazalci so postavljeni v okvir negovalnih teorij in sledijo usmeritvam Zbornice zdravstvene nege Slovenije. Nomenklatura v kategorijah pacientov je uporabna v vseh okoljih, kjer medicinske sestre izvajajo zdravstveno nego.
