Abstrakt     In resuscitating pregnant women we folow Guidlines of Basic Life Support and Advanced Life Support set by European Resuscitation Council. There are, however, a number of additional measures which can lead to better outcome for both mother and child. Among these are: decompression of vena cava inferior, early protection of airway, delivery or cessarian section after 5 minutes of unsuccessful reanimation, monitorig of fetus. Most common causes for cardiac arest in pregnancy include: haemorrhage (trauma, placental abruption), pulmonary embolism or embolism with amniotic fluid , eclampsia and drug toxicity. The complex and multidisciplinary nature of the resuscitation of pregnant woman calls for team work of all medical staff and makes the presence of obstetrician and neonatologist obligatory.
