Abstrakt		The oxgen is used in healthcare for curing the diseases caused by hypoxy. For application of oxygen to the child we use different instruments such as ambu baloons, nose spectacles and face masks. There is the central installation of oxygen in majority of hospitals, which is also called wall installation. When the children are transported out of the department oxygen gas cilinders are used. The transport incubator is used when ill newborn children, babies and children are transported to Central hospital from other hospitals. The part of the transport incubator's standard equipment is the oxygen. It is the part of the standard equipment in the ambulances, too. The pulse oximetry monitoring helps us to measure the effectiveness of curing the children. The colour of the skin helps us to inform, too. If we want our work to be effective and successful it must be the team work. The nurse's duty is to watch the patient, to put down the vital signs, to inform the doctor about the changes. It's very important that the hospital team is well instructed about the usage of oxygen application instruments as well as about risks and complications which could happen during the time of usage.
