Abstrakt     We can influence to a high degree on reducing the number of various heart diseases by healthy life style promotion for all age groups, on primary, secondary and tertiary level of health care. Important element of health promotion is health education with which are health care promotions/educators trying to achieve patients' responsiblity for achieving and preserving their own health by informing and motivating them. For successful health education of heart patients the right choice of modes and methods of work, objectives, means and expedients of teaching and educator preparation must be taken into consideration. Health care promotios must be aware that educating process is more improved, easier and shorter especially when using appropriate education modes and methods. To achieve successful and effective education health care promotios must set objectives that are realistic, feasible and within reach. Objectives of contemporary health education are stimulating people to achieve and preserve good health, teaching them to prevent diseases with help of their own actions and efforts, carrying out self-help, mutual help and home care and timely searching for medical assistance when necessary. The most appropriate modes and methods of work in health education of heart patients are individual and frontal mode and passive-active methods of work. In passive-active methods we place: methods of conversation, chat, discussion, different exercises, close examination of examples, role playing and training. With hospitalized patients is often used the method of conversation where conversation is taking place between patient and educator trying as participants. With the help of health education are health care promotios/educators trying to mediate information, knowledge, skills, deftness and habits which are influencing on life style hanges.
