Abstrakt		Genetically modified plants are nowadays planted on 44,2 millions ha. Transformation of plants enables the introduction of different traits like resistance to insects, viruses, herbicides, as well as modifications of oils and carbohydrates. They can be good alternative to modern agronomic practice with great reduction of environmentally and consumer unhealthy chemicals. The consumer demands on better knowledge of food ingredients stimulated strict regulations on labelling of products containing genetically modified organisms.
