Abstrakt		The first product offering protection against the sun was put on the market in the 70s. It contained para-aminabenzoic acid. In later years, developments in this area saw an unimagined swing. Today it is important to be aware of the harmful etfecf of sun radiation on skin. To protect ourselves from these effects;we use special protective preparations, Their common characteristics are the contents of UV filters. The role of UV filters in products is to reflect or absorb llV rays before they reach the skin. The type of product itself is also important, especially its water-resistance which keeps the skin protected after bathing, howering or swimming. Protective preparations for sunbathing are classified by their protection level expressed with a sun protection factor (SPF).
