Abstrakt | Carline thistle, named after Mt. Učka in Istria (Carlina acanthifolia subsp. utzka) and Pannonian hawksbeard (Crepis pannonica) have been well known in Slovenia for a long time, although at the same time very rare. The article presents the history of their discovery in Slovenia and an acknowledged site for each. The author stresses the need and the significance of regular observation in nature since it is the only way to ensure the knowledge on the condition of the natural world and its efficient protection. | |
