Abstrakt     The measuring of alcohol concentration in 11 types of beer, produced by Slovene producers, showed that they contain from 5.0 to 7.2 of volume percentages of alcohol, only one type contains 1.9 percent of alcohol. De-alcoholised beer UNI contains from 0.23 to 0.39 percent of alcohol. In five healthy males, blood alcohol concentration levels did not raise after the ingestion of 1.5l of de-alcoholised beer. The tests of the palatability of de-alcoholised beer, performed by 5 volunteers showed that it's taste is much better when it is well cooled, and almost impalatable when served at room temperature. It has been proposed that beers should be sold at reduced tax according to volume percentage of contained alcohol, and that de-alcoholised beer should taxed less than no-alcoholic beverages in order to redirect beer drinkers to varieties of beer with less alcohol.
