Abstrakt		The aim of this article is to provide and overview of different speech coding strategies used in cochlear implants. Differences between them mainly concern the number of electrodes, the stimulation rate and the mode of electrode stimulation. The benefits of each strategy according to better speech discrimination are evaluated.
