Abstrakt | The measurement of frequency response of telephone voice circuits is time-consuming and reguires expensive eguipnrent. The paper describes a low cos! automatic unit for such measurements. A preliminary analysis and computer simulations of the inpul circuit have been made. On the basis of analytical and numerical results a microcontroller-based measuring instrument has been developed. This instrument enables an automatic measurement of the amplitude characteristics over 1he telephone voice freguency range in two seconds. The nricrocontroller sets the measuring signal and receives an analogue response and subsequently processes it into a formal suitable for storage or direct visualisation. The protocol of measurement is specified by the program of the local controller. Moreover, the nreasuring parameters can be changed by communicating with the supervisory compuler which also stores all data. | |
