Abstrakt		This paper reviews recent data on computing and information literacy (research) skills that constitute information/digital literacy. Theoretical background of the information literacy is grounded on its' importance for the functioning and development of modern library. Some authors do stress the interesting role special libraries have in this process, as they are more connected to the "world of work". In special libraries is education for information literacy is more connected with information overload. Information literacy could have the real meaning as better use of the proper strategies for the information sources management and the use of the information with the added value (this is done by the information specialists).
