Abstrakt     A local suicide prevention project has recently been developed at the University of Leuven (Flanders, Belgium) in order to analyze all student suicides that occurred during two recent academic years at the campus, and to implement a suicide prevention policy. Eleven student suicides were analyzed using the psychological autopsy method. Semistructured interviews were conducted with survivors at the campus, at home, counsellors of the student services, and other informants. The sociodemographic, psychological, and social profiles of the deceased students were outlined, and postvention interventions were evaluated. Based on this analysis, a policy focusing on prevention, intervention, and postvention, was developed.
