Abstrakt		Introduction and aim: Thrombosis is disease in which clot formation occurs due to vascular wall injury, blood stasis and/or hypercoagulabilty. It is vascular bed specific and appears more often at specific vascular bed locations. The reasons for this specificity are poorly understood. It seems that systemic as well as local factors play an important role. Besides well known classical vascular bed specific risk factors several new, non-classical metabolic, fibrinolytic, coagulation and inflammatory risk factors were detected, however their role in development of thrombosis at different vascular bed locations remains elusive. Thus the aim of our work was to evaluate the presence and possible interactions of some non-classical risk factors of thrombosis at three different vascular bed locations. We predisposed that non-classical risk factors occur not separately but rather in clusters which represent specific risk profiles for observed vascular-bed locations. Patients and methods: We included 68 young women aged 39 6 years half to six (mean 3.5) years after acute myocardial infarction (N=22), lacunar cerebral infarction (N=16) and deep vein thrombosis (N=30), who were all under 40 years at the time of the acute event, without premature menopause and with a low risk of thrombosis according to the classical risk profile. They were in the stable phase of disease and without signs of other acute or chronic diseases. Clinical examination and blood sampling were performed on the same day.
