Abstrakt		Physical therapy is one of the therapeutic options available to the general practitioner. This area receives much less attention in undergraduate and postgraduate education than pharmacotherapy. One of the important problems is the fact that scientific evidence for some of the procedures is still missing. Family physicians come in contact with problems of physical therapy when they send their patients to the physiotherapist who is supposed to perform certain procedures, when they refer the patient to the specialist or when they refer the patient to a spa for rehabilitation.
