Abstrakt     Viral diseases are the most significant infectious diseases affecting fish farming as they cause a high degree of morbidity and mortality and consequently, serious economic damage. Infections with viral agents spread along waterways and among fish farms, particularly when these infections are not clinically manifest. In order to control a viral disease and combat it efficiently, it is vital to perform both an immediate and successful diagnosis of the virus, and to know how far the disease has spread into the individual waterways. This paper shows the diagnostics of viral diseases in trout farms in Slovenia and the level of IHN, VHS and IPN viral infections for the five-year period between 1997 and 2001.
Izvleček     Virusne bolezni so najnevarnejše kužne bolezni v ribogojstvu, saj povzročajo veliko obolevnost in smrtnost rib ter s tem ekonomske izgube. V delu smo prikazali diagnostiko virusnih bolezni v postrvjih ribogojnicah v Sloveniji in stanje okuženosti ribogojnic z virusi IHNV, VHSV in IPNV v obdobju od leta 1997 do 2001.
