Abstrakt		Background: Ankle arthroplasty is becoming incrisengly popular operative method tor treating degenerative and posttraumatic disorders of the ankle. STAR uncemented, unconstrained type of the ankle prosthesis is used in OH Valdoltra. Methods: Nineteen prospectively followed patients with 20 implanted prosthesis has been analysed. Kofoed's ankle score has been used to evaluate the results of ankle arthroplasty. Results: There was nine exellent, tive good, three tair and two poor results. The postoperative range of motion has incresed tor 4 degrees. Conclusions: We're satisfied with the results so far. The function of the foot has incresed in every case, average ROM of the ankle is 28,4 degrees postoperatively. Ankle arthroplasty is worthwile and durable solution for posttraumatic and rheumatic disorders of the ankle.
