Abstrakt | Poly-L-glutamic acid (PGA) and poly-L-lysine (PL) and related polymers have played a central role in investigations of the physical chemistry of chain molecules. PGA and PL are synthetic polypeptides which are especially good models for studying formation and/or disappearance of a-helix. A theoretical and laboratory practical exercise is proposed in order to illustrate the influence of pH and solvent on conformation of these polypeptides. | |
