Abstrakt | Introduction: Ability to move means life and life means ability to move. Moving is man's primal need, which enables him to communicate with his close and extended environment. The reaction is almost always a movement, which is the result of a coordination of different organic systems. This is the very reason why the body and mental abilities are closely connected and make up an entity, which is the basis and the condition for all human actions. Motor development is the beginning of personal development of every individual, and therefore among children with special needs it is the physically-handicapped children who have most problems in their personal and psychosocial development. In the early phase of motor development physiotherapy has an important role. Purpose: The purpose of the article is to evaluate the significant influence of sensorimotor and motor development on psychosocial development. It emphasizes psychosocial development and describes disturbances in psychosocial development, the importance of the family and the quality of the child's life. Metods of work: Profesional and scientific literature. Conclusion: Holistic development (motor and psychosocial), favourable family, wider social environments and the quality of his life play a crucial role in the life of every child. This particularly holds true for children with special needs, because their motor and psychosocial development tend to be different and slower. | |
