Abstrakt		At Maribor Teaching Hospital, the cooperation between infectologists and microbiologists is well organized. It is not limited to the Department of Infectious Diseases, but is going on at other departments as well. Apart from working at the Department and its OPCs, our infectologists are also engaged as consultants for all hospital departments, while the hospital microbiofogists report on the findings retating to the isolation of infectious agents every day. Infectologists and microbiologists take part in the Hospital Infection Control Committee, the Committee for Antibiotics, the Drugs Committee, and they are also engaged in informing and educating the hospital employees. Instructions for the prevention of hospital infections, lists of reserve antibiotics, as well as antimicrobial treatment models are all the result of teamwork.
