Abstrakt | Staphylococcal sepsis with complications and metastatic infections is the mosf serious clinical manifestation of staphylococcal infections and carries high mortality rates. It can be either community-acquired or hospital-acquired. The most important factors predisposing to infection are intravascular devices and foreign bodies. Because of that staphylococcal sepsis is still a common infection. Moreover, staphylococci have remained major human pathogens. Due to increasing antibiotic resistance staphylococci have emerged as a therapeutic problem. The same problem is being faced at Maribor Teaching Hospital. | |
