Abstrakt		The difference between cholesterol content in the human lung cancer tissue and healthy lung tissue of the same patient was determined. The samples were hydrolysed in alkaline medium, cholesterol extracted into n-hexane and simultaneously determined by two techniques: high performance liquid chromatography and thin-layer chromatography. Tissues of 15 patients was investigated. The content of cholesterol was high in both types of tissues in the prevalent number of samples, but in the cancer tissues it was doubled.
