Abstrakt     The reanimation with patient's revival and survival may seem to express some scent of "divine" potential of medicine. But, the medical doctor should be aware of limitations of medical treatment, and of his actual work. During diagnostic and therapeutic measures, including reanimation, the medical doctor is the subject of moral, compensatory and penal responsibility. Starting with this triple responsibility, the leading themes of our presentation - the position of medical doctor in contemporary society, his duty and responsibility - are more clearly delineated. The ethical views of responsibility are outlined in the Codex of medical deontology: the responsibility fo widely accepted ethical norms is emphasized. The extent of this responsibility is the most comprehensive. It is connected with personal characteristics of individual medical doctor, and may be influenced and shaped mostly by education. Frequently, it is inaccessible to public and professional control, moreover, it cannot be put in force neither by compulsory educational, nor by penal measures. It is left only to personal evaluation and critical judgement. From these starting-points, the ethical problems of medical doctor's responsibility in reanimation will be presented.
