Abstrakt		In last ten years in Slovenia private rescue services ( a part of EMS - emergency medical services were privatized) are making a part of EMS activities; they are performing medical founded unurgent transports of patients. Because of private rescue services some EMS, also that in Maribor :region, reduced all number of teams drastically. On geographic area, which is covered by EMS Maribor, has permission for such activity five private services. Because of economical factor are private EMS tend to make unurgent transport on longer distance (out of region). In case of mass accidents is impossible to count on help of private services from more reasons ( unsufficient qualified and unskilled, bad equipment, long response, unavailabling on work-free days, at nights;...). We miss formal protocols which would in case of mass and other accidents exactly defined the obligations of EMS in private sector, system of all connections and reaction time. We think law should better seettle (decide) status private EMS, concessions should be more precise about obligations and should condemn annual extendings of concessions. Also it should be prescripted continued education and improving of urgent medical skills by plan and examening of knowledge.
