Abstrakt		Eight females with anorexia nervosa under treatment, and seven women with a past history of this disorder were evaluated by a directed interview. They were found to share several characteristic symptoms. Although the patients studied were in remission, anthropometric and blood pressure measurements revealed a notable deviation of their body weight from normal (average 19 per cent ), low Q index (mean 1 .66, SD 0.12) and hypotension. The self image was assessed by the psychodiagnostic test OSIQ (Offer Self Image Questionnaire for Adolescents). On the basis of the results obtained it was not possible to compare the group of former patients and the group of healthy women as concerns the arithmetic means of contents of family interrelationships. The same applied to the psychopathology of both groups, the reason being a significant variance difference (F test, p c 0.01 ). Yet, evaluation of other data by the t test showed a certain degree of difference between the groups justifying further research in this field.
