| Abstract | Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) is rather frequent disorder occurring in men and women of our time. It has been observed that, in Slovenia, the incidence of esophageal reflux disease is gradually increasing every year and that these patients receive most varied treatment and, in some cases, also most imprudent therapies. At the assembly of Slovenian gastroenterologists in 2001, we therefore set up the guidelines for the management of the patients with gastroesophageal reflux disease. | |
