Abstract     This article deals with some of the empirical findings on moral judgement of Slovenian youth and young adults. It is based on Kohlberg's "theory of degree" of the moral development, and methodologically on Rest's component model. In comparison with the similar international and inter-cultural studies of the individuals of the same age similar development trends are to be noticed concerning the degree of the universality of the forms of moral judgement and the same time the empirical results show some differencies. Considering the fact that the individual can judge a moral dilemma in different ways simultaneously, we present also the statistical relations between the particular stages of moral judgement. Some of these relations are developmentally consistent, the others are age-specific. Because many research projects have warned us that intelligence is an important determinant of the maturity of the individual's moral judgement, we tried to establish the statistical relations between intelligence and moral jadgement in our study. Unlike other authors we have focused on these relations at different stages of moral judgement separetely and showed that such statistic relations are very different in size and direction when dealt with separately and on individual stages of development. Our obseravtions are the same regarding the relations between individual stages of moral judgement: some relations between intelligence and individual stages of moral judgement are evolutionarily consistent and the others are age-specific.
