Abstract		DDD legislation is covered by Rules on terms, manner and products for carrying out desinfection, disinfection and deratization OJ No. 88/00, Act on Chemicals OJ No. 36/99, 65/2003 and Rules on placing of biocides on the market OJ No. 38/00. First rule defines terms of references for legal and natural persons, personal protective equipment, other equipment and products for protection of internal space and environment. Second and third rule determine placing on the market and usage of biocidal products (included are all products which are in line with the definition of biocidal products; they intend to destroy, deter, render harmless, prevent the action of of otherwise exert a controlling effect on any harmfull organism by chemical or biological means). Act on Chemicals and Rules on placing of biocides on the market manage to ensure safety usage and proper information for consumers and other users. In the Republic of Slovenia only certain biocidal products can be used - the one that fulfill conditions for getting a permit in accordance with Act on Chemicals and are notified in accordance with Rules on placing of biocides on the market. Also licence for production and activity of placing on the market of biocidal products, issued by National Chemicals Bureau is needed.
