Abstract     From the veterinary medicinal and toxicological point of view, especially anticoagulants, rodenticides which are often used as rat poison and organophosphorus insecticides represent a special problem. Organophosphorus insecticides are used for the plant protection and as substances against internal and external parasites. They are also used in a public hygiene. Anticoagulants are very stable and they are accumulated in the organism in an active form. Their time of elimination from the organism and their toxicity for non-target species as well as the use of organophosphorus insecticides in spray forms is very problematic. In this article, some results of our toxicological studies of anticoagulant rodenticides and organophosphorus insecticides will be discussed.
