Abstract		Pathological root resorption occurs as a consequence of disease processes destroying the protective structures. The resorptive lesions are roughly classified as internal and external. The process remains asymptomatic for a long time and is often detected by routine radiographs. The principles of treatment depend chiefly on the type of resorption and the existence of a communication between the pulp chamber and the periodontium.
Summary		Bolezenska oblika resorpcije korenine sledi bolezenskemu dogajanju, ki uniči zaščitne tkivne sestavine. V grobem delimo resorpcije korenin na notranje in zunanje. Resorpcija korenine dolgo časa poteka brez kliničnih znakov in je pogosto odkrita naključno na rentgenski sliki. Načela zdravljenja so odvisna predvsem od vrste resorpcije in od tega, ali je nastala povezava med pulpo in pozobnico.
