Abstract		The aim of this article is an overview of ultrasound of focal liver lesions. The significance and sonographic features of various liver lesions are described. Definitive characterisation of liver mass is not possible on conventional ultrasound, so the situation has changed with advent of ultrasound contrast agents. This has been especially successful in the detection of small liver metastases. Definite diagnosis of liver lesions is biopsy, but when is it really necessary.
Summary		Namen tega članka je predstavitev okroglih lezij v jetrih ugotovljenih z ultrazvokom. Razložene so ultrazvočne značilnosti različnih lezij. Dokončna opredelitev jetrnih mas pogosto z običajnim ultrazvočnim pregledom ni možna, v veliko pomoč nam je uvedba ultrazvočnih kontrastnih sredstev. Ta so uspešna predvsem pri diagnosticiranju majhnih jetrnih metastaz. Dokončno diagnozo jetrnih lezij največkrat postavimo z biopsijo, seveda le, ko je to resnično potrebno.
