Abstract     The use of different machine learning methods is common practice in various fields like economy, medicine, etc. In this paper we present the use of two maehine learning methods based on the decision trees, namely classic and genetic decision tree induction in quantitative nursing research. For that purpose we explored the possibilities to determine the level of blood lipids in children with the use of machine learning and noninvasive examinations.
