Abstract     The reduction of perceived stress amongst vocational counsellors should be achieved with an expert model to support the decision making process. Two different methodological approaches were validated: (1) the method of artificial intelligence, apriori; and (2) determination of graph cycles with graph theory. Graph theory determines the power of influence of external and internal factors. Following from this, possible gripping points for the counselling process were determined. Advantages of graph cycles on the basis of graph theory determination were demonstrated.
