Abstract		We have developed a clinical information system that allows physicians and medical personnel to store and manage the data of patients that were admitted to our hospital and treated for wrist fractures. The system called "wrist status application" is based on a protocol that incorporates patient and injury data, and data recorded at three consecutive follow-ups. To seamlessly integrate the system within the existing process of patient care, we have used handheld computers, which provide for a lightweight and easy to use data entry points. In an undergoing study, the system is currently being applied and tested for data management on treatments of over 100 patients with Colle's wrist fracture.
