Abstract		Heart failure increases both in prevalence and incidence. In developed countries it is usually caused by ischemic heart disease and arterial hypertension and is associated to over activation of neuroendocrine systems, consequently leading to further damage to heart and impairment patient's condition. Patients are frequently hospitalized and have higher mortality than majority of cancer patients. With its prevalence, diagnostic procedures, therapeutic management and frequent hospitalizations it poses ever growing burden to the health care system.
