Abstract		Soft tissues play an important role in fracture healing, influencing primary and definite fracture treatment. To decide on the proper method, we need to precisely know patophysiology of the soft tissue injury as well as pros and cons of different types of treatment. Fractures with soft tissue injury are urgent cases. Treatment, which starts ad the site of accident, is divided into different stages. Exact evaluation of the soft tissue injury is followed by debridement. Fractures are further on stabilized with external fixator. In order to avoid septic complication and provide successful healing, the fracture needs to be covered in vital soft tissues. Due to diversity of fractures, each case has to be treated individually.
