Abstract		The article deals with the development of blood cells, as well as with the appearance and disappearance of particular cell markers in diHerent periods of lymphatic and myeloid cell maturation. In addition the importance of cell markers in the classification of acute leukaemias is discussed. The basic features of a simple static threedimensional mathematical model of an adult hip in a monopodal body position are given. The described model can be used in clinical practice to evaluate mechanical effects of different surgical procedures on the hip. A few examples of clinical application of the model are presented.
