Abstract     Despite of today's rapid development of transplantation its roots reach even back to the time before Christ. The development of transplantation as human method of medicine enabled today's possibility of transplantatlon of organs, of which some years ago people thought they were science fiction ((transplantation of pork or baboon liver into the human body), i.e, xenotransplantation). ln the contribution the author discusses the contents and importance of the very strict set criteria for the deprivation of a part of the dead human body, where the patient's will as a way of easiying the postmortal proceeding, regarding the deprivation, plays a special role.
