Abstract		The support is a relatively new institution in Germany, since it started to be applied in 1992. By this, adult persons being incapable of independently carrying out their own matters shall be supported in every-day living. ln comparison to the former regulation, where in cases when a person was incapable of taking care of his or her own matters the proceedings where in two parts (as it is also in Slovenia), the proceedings of appointment of a responsible person is in one part. ln the contribution, the position of a person, for whom a responsible person was appointed, in the cases of medical operations and the free consent to them and eventual collisions between the will of the supported and the actions of the responsible person is going to be shown.
